- THE FILTERS: Each water pitcher filter combines activated carbon & ion exchange resin with a 0.01 micron ultrafiltration (UF) membrane. Together, they filter chlorine, odors, heavy metals, and PFOA/PFOS, while filtering and reducing harmful microbes (such as Giardia and E. coli), microplastics, and sediment. The filters are also compatible with Brita water dispenser, Brita water filter pitcher, and other similar water filter dispenser & filtered water pitchers
- PROTECTS AGAINST HEAVY METALS & CHEMICALS: The activated carbon and ion exchange resin work together to adsorb chlorine, pesticides, herbicides, pharmaceuticals, and organic compounds that affect taste and odor, while reducing heavy metals such as cadmium, copper, mercury, aluminum, and some lead. This stage also lowers calcium and magnesium to reduce limescale buildup.
- BLOCKS MICROBES & MICROPLASTICS: At the final stage, water passes through a 0.01 micron ultrafiltration (UF) membrane made of hollow fibers about 7,000 times smaller than a human hair. This barrier blocks harmful microbes such as Giardia and E. coli, while also removing microplastics, fine sediment, and cloudiness.
- HOW TO USE - STEP 1: Soak the Joey'z PFAS water filter in clean water for 5 minutes. Step 2: Insert the filter in to your water purifier pitcher and make sure that the slot on the side of the filter lines up with the notch on the side of the filter well in the pitcher. Then press the filter into place. Step 3: Discard the first liter of water filtered with any new filter. This filter is meant to purify tap water. Do not use to filter saltwater or contaminated water.
- 4 MONTH SUPPLY: Joey'z water filters should be replaced every 40 gallons (approximately every 2 months). This is the same lifespan as most Brita water filter replacement, so your Brita filter change reminder will also be accurate with these filters. Save up to 300 water bottles a year!
- *** For complete filtration performance, and most effective results, make sure all water passes through the filtration medium. Do not use filters passed 2 months or 40 gallons.***
